C/CAG periodically issues Calls for Projects for competitive grant funding process.  Current opportunities:

San Mateo County Shuttle Program Call For Projects for FY20/21 & FY20/22

The City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) have released a joint Call for Projects (CFP) for the San Mateo County Shuttle Program, with up to $10M available in funds over the next two fiscal years.

The San Mateo County Shuttle Program is intended to fund new local shuttle services, augment existing services, or continue projects previously funded under the Congestion Relief Plan and/or the Measure A Sales Tax Local Shuttle program.  Shuttles must be open to the general public, and must contribute to the overall goal to reduce commute corridor congestion, make regional connections, enhance safety and meet local mobility needs.

Transportation Development Act Article 3 (TDA Art. 3) Pedestrian/Bicycle Call for Projects

C/CAG is pleased to announce a Call for Projects for eligible pedestrian and bicycle projects under the TDA Art. 3 Program.  There will be $1,950,000 available for Fiscal Year 2019-20.  The 21 jurisdictions within San Mateo County are invited to submit applications.  Applications are limited to one (1) for Planning project and one (1) for Capital project per jurisdiction.  The maximum grant amount for a Planning project is $100,000 (requires 50% cash match) and  for a Capital project is $400,000.

An Application Workshop will be held on: May 23, 2019; 10 a.m. – 12 noon at the SamTrans Building,  2nd Floor Auditorium at 1250 San Carlos Ave. in San Carlos.

Applications are due on July 25, 2019 by 5:00 p.m.

Regional Transportation Plan Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP/SCS)

As part of MTC’s efforts to update the Regional Transportation Plan Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP/SCS), C/CAG is requesting project sponsors to submit regionally significant projects as part of the development of the RTP/SCS, also known as Plan Bay Area 2050 (PBA 2050). Project proposals are due April 10, 2019.
