Lifeline Transportation Program Cycle 7

The Lifeline Transportation Program (LTP) Cycle 7 funds are made available through the State Transit Assistance (STA) Program funds which is distributed to C/CAG by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). The Lifeline Transportation Program is designed to help low-income residents by funding transportation projects that will improve their mobility options. As the Program Administrator, C/CAG issues a call for project nominations for projects, identified in, or derived from the community-based transportation planning (CBTP) process and other local planning efforts for disadvantaged communities. Eligible applicants include public transit agencies, city/ county social service agencies, cities, counties, and non-profit organizations.

If your agency is not an STA recognized transit operator, you must obtain sponsorship to apply for funds through an eligible transit agency, such as SamTrans. Sponsors have until Thursday, February 8th to request concurrence letters from SamTrans. Please submit all request to Anna Hibbard (hibbardA@samtrans.com)

On December 14, 2023, the C/CAG Board approved the guidelines and process for the Lifeline Transportation Program Cycle 7. Applications are due Friday, February 16, 2024 at 12 p.m. PT to Jeff Lacap (jlacap@smcgov.org).
